John Newton describes me quite well in his description of himself: I am a great sinner, and Christ is a great Savior.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.
{Psalm 40:2-3}

I have been redeemed, and now it is my greatest joy to walk forward in Truth. Jesus is Lord; my Lord. He reigns not just over the entire universe but over my heart. He has captivated me with His love, and no matter what my mind, emotions, feelings & the world outside say, my soul IS satisfied in Him.

It has always been helpful for me to articulate what I am learning in a “devotional” sort of style, and so I decided awhile ago to start publishing these online when I get one finished. It is my desire that by these words, we grow in Him, our desire for Him increases, and our love for Him becomes greater than ever before. He is worthy, and let’s follow Him!
